Battle-tested Insights

In 2006 I read the Agile Manifesto for the first time and it changed my career. Before Agile was even “a thing”, I saw how working in small batches, fast feedback, and shipping often was key.
From that point on, I became dedicated to helping teams and organizations become faster, nimbler and more adaptive. Across my 30 year career I’ve worked with startups, non-profits, state and local governments and fortune 100 enterprises to get real results with agile.
But it hasn't all been rainbows and lollipops.
I’ve made plenty of mistakes and seen agile fail miserably. Today I look back on these blunders with gratitude, because they gave me the wisdom needed to move beyond the theory of agile and really get results.
And I've distilled what I've learned into the fastest most effective way to earn the ICP certification.
If you didn't feel like this course was worth every penny, we'll happily refund you - no questions asked.
Agile Foundations is jam-packed with dozens of video based micro-lessons covering everything you need to quickly see results.
Succeeding with agility requires a firm grasp of the “why”. These lessons dive into the history and mindset in a no-nonsense way that helps you understand the context around agility, how it can help, and when to apply it.
Scrum is a proven framework for applying agility to small teams. We go deep on the 3 accountabilities, 5 events and 3 artifacts of Scrum.
Scrum is not always the best choice for every situation. Work that is more interrupt-driven may benefit from a flow-based approach known as Kanban.
In Agile Foundations we provide an overview of Lean and Kanban, but go much deeper on the topics in Kanban Essentials, which you’ll also get access to with Agile Foundations.
In these lessons we explore how to plan multiple sprints worth of work in a way that connects to your Product Vision and Roadmap. We also explore how empirical measures like Velocity influence release planning.
These lessons explore the working dynamics of agile team members and how to create an environment that fosters collaboration, trust and ultimately creates an environment for high-performance.
These lessons explore the concept of relative sizing using Story Points and the practice of Planning Poker. We dive deep into the concept of velocity and how you can use it to responsibly forecast.
Continuously delivering value to customers and stakeholders requires more than a management approach. It calls for an entirely new set of technical practices. These lessons provide an overview of DevOps and the critical technical practices that are needed to support it.

Agile Foundations concludes with a 20 question, multiple choice quiz. The quiz is embedded in the course itself, you will not need to go anywhere else to take it. There are no time restrictions for completing the quiz. You can attempt the quiz as many times as you like. Questions are drawn from quizzes in preceding lessons. Your passing score must be 80% or higher to receive the certification. Learners may attempt the exam multiple times to achieve a passing score.
That's the beauty of a self-paced course, you can move through it at whatever speed works best for you. We've seen determined learners finish the course in a day. But most learners prefer to spread the course out over 3-5 days, working a few hours each day.
Yes! Agile Foundations goes deep on Scrum. But we don't stop there. We also cover other practices that you wont get in a run-of-the-mill Scrum course.
The CSM is provided through Scrum Alliance and focuses exclusively on Scrum.
The ICAgile Certified Professional is provided by ICAgile and covers a broader range of topics, beyond Scrum.
In addition to Scrum, in Agile Foundations Ultimate, you'll learn about:

The problem with instructor-led courses is that you're not in control. You have to learn at the instructor's pace and you have no ability to go back and refresh yourself on the material after the class ended.
With our course, you can complete the lessons when it's most relevant to your work and go back and review whenever you need to.
By integrating the learning into your flow of work, it becomes far more relevant, timely and effective.
